Description
Ava moves to Gubinge, a tiny tropical town in Australias north, and finds herself drawn into a bitter confrontation between the Burrika, the native Indigenous people of the area, and Gerro Blue, a Japanese-owned uranium mining company. As a reporter she sees a good story in their conflict, but Ava is surprised when she is offered a job as the Aboriginal liaison officer with the Burrika for Gerro Blue. Tensions rise in the community as some believe the mine will lift the people from poverty by creating jobs and others believe it destroy them.
