Description
The police are convinced that Julia Ransom killed her psychic husband, but six months of investigation and media coverage have found nothing conclusive. Then one day, Julia walks from her Pacific Heights home to Fisherman's Wharf where a stranger distracts her, strikes her, and heaves her over the railing into San Francisco Bay. If it weren't for Special Agent Cheney Stone, Julia would have drowned. Stone thinks the attempted murder is related to the death of Julia's husband. Meanwhile, in Maestro, Virginia, Sheriff Dixon Noble learns about a woman who resembles his missing wife, so he heads for San Francisco, where he meets Agent Stone. When their paths cross with those of FBI Special Agents Dillion Savich and Lacey Sherlock, they realize they are all looking for the same answers.
