Description
When Ron Williamson came back to his hometown of Ada, Oklahoma in 1977, his dream of a professional football career was over. He moved back in with his mother and slept twenty hours a day on her sofa. When cocktail waitress Debra Sue Carter was raped and murdered in 1982, the police arrested Williamson and his friend Dennis Fritz on charges of capital murder. The prosecutor's case was based on junk science and jailhouse testimony, but the two men were found guilty, and Williamson was sentenced to death.
