Description
Shy, studious Irene Stenson fled Dunsley, California, after she discovered her parents' murdered bodies on the kitchen floor of their home. But now an old friend, Pamela Webb, rich, privileged, and daughter of a U.S. senator, has sent her an email telling her she must come back. Irene has no idea what Pamela wanted, because Pamela has been murdered by the time Irene arrives in the northern California town. Irene's reporter instincts and her own hunger to know the truth about the murders, keeps her at the local lodge. Luke Danner, the ex-Marine who runs the lodge can see the frightened girl beneath Irene's confident exterior, so he's willing to risk everything to find out what really happened.
